Happy Juneteenth from Red Sugar Life!

On this day, 6/19/2020, I am gladly taking time to say Happy Juneteenth to US, Black Americans. Our unique, longstanding ancestry and heritage in the United States of America deserves to be acknowledged, respected, and honored.

As a Black American woman especially, I see time and time again that our strength, perseverance, tenacity, willpower, creativity, uniqueness, resilience, intelligence, wisdom, and resourcefulness are unmatched and unwavering. I have plenty to be proud of as I celebrate my heritage and pay homage to the struggles and triumphs of my ancestors in the U.S.A.

In this present time, where there is a global pandemic (Coronavirus/COVID-19) as well as what appears to be shifts in our (specifically us Black American people) racial suffering here in the U.S., my spirit remains strong and lively. I know that I carry an inherent strength and resilience within me from those in my lineage that came before me.

I am here, unapologetically Black American, and proud. Happy Juneteenth from Red Sugar Life!
